Why was this website created?

The website began for a practical reason. I was discussing music with a friend and collaborator over Zoom, and we wanted to listen to recordings, compare ideas and remind ourselves where we had reached with pieces we were developing.

Our recordings, scores, lyrics and notes were spread across different computers and folders. We needed one place where we could both look at exactly the same material, wherever we happened to be.

What began as a simple page of recordings gradually developed into a living archive of my work as a composer and songwriter.

My hope is that the archive will preserve the music, support collaboration, and give friends, listeners and musicians a way to follow the development of ideas from an early sketch to a finished composition.
