About David White
A Lifelong Connection with Music
David was born in Bristol, in the south of England, in the mid-1960s. From an early age, he developed a love of music and music production.
That early interest grew into a lifelong involvement with performing, recording, singing and composition.
Early Music and Recording
While at high school, David formed his first band, Eclipse. Later, after leaving college, he established and ran his own recording studio, Fast Forward Studio.
David subsequently formed the group Ice Station Penguin, continuing his interest in live performance, recording and music production.
Leeds and Choral Singing
David later met, fell in love with and married his wife, moving to Leeds in the north of England to be with her. Music was put on hold for a time while they concentrated on bringing up their children.
In later years, David joined Leeds Male Voice Choir. With the choir, he performed at prestigious venues across Yorkshire, culminating in a tour of Belgium.
Study and Composition
During this period, David studied singing and music theory at Yorkshire College of Music and Drama, gaining qualifications under the guidance of his classical music mentor, Tim Knight.
Tim encouraged David to study music composition and to begin writing classical music. David has since published some of these compositions through sheet music retailers.
